Most of Chandler was built during the growth of the 1990s and 2000s, which puts a great deal of its concrete at an interesting age — old enough that original driveways and patios are starting to show wear, new enough that the layouts are still broadly what people want.
That produces a particular kind of work here: extending and improving concrete that is basically sound, and replacing the parts of it that are not.
Concrete Work in Chandler
Concrete reaching its first real maintenance point
Slabs poured in the nineties and 2000s are now at the age where joints open up, surfaces wear and settlement starts to show at edges. Much of it is still perfectly sound and worth keeping, which makes an honest repair-versus-replace assessment more useful here than a default recommendation to tear it out.
Backyards being reworked rather than built from scratch
Chandler yards generally already have something in them. The work tends to be extending a patio, adding a slab for a ramada or an outdoor kitchen, or replacing a pool deck that has aged — rather than starting from bare ground.
Tight side yards and access
Subdivision lots from this era often have narrow side yards, which affects how equipment and concrete get to the back of a property. It is something we check on the walk-through, because it changes how a job is planned and priced.
Pool decks of a certain age
A great many Chandler homes have pools installed with the house, and their decks are now at the point of needing resurfacing or replacement. Where the slab is sound, a decorative resurface changes the whole look without removal.

Concrete in Chandler: Common Questions
My pool deck is worn but not cracked. Does it need replacing?
Probably not. A sound slab with a tired surface is a good candidate for resurfacing or a decorative overlay, which changes the appearance and the texture without the cost and disruption of removal. If the slab has cracked through or settled, that is a different conversation, and we will tell you which one you are in.
My side yard is narrow. Can you still get to the backyard?
Usually. Access is one of the first things we check on the walk-through, because it determines how material gets to the back and what equipment can be used. Where access is genuinely tight there are ways around it, and we will explain what your property allows before writing the estimate.
Can you add a slab for a ramada or an outdoor kitchen?
Yes. Tell us what is going on it — a shade structure with posts and a built outdoor kitchen have different requirements — and the slab will be specified for that rather than poured to a default thickness.
